Ukon Wacka is the 7th studio album from Finnish Folk-Metal heavyweights Korpiklaani. It marks their triumphant return to their roots, and is warmly reminiscent of their first couple of albums.

Rife with incredible riffs and pure party attitude, Ukon Wacka is one of Korpiklaani's best albums to date. Tracks like "Tequila", and "Louhen Yhdeksas Poika", brings the band's hard partying attitude to the forefront once again, and compels you to grab your finest bottle of booze and dance!

Of course, listening to a Korpiklaani album is always a cultural experience, and Ukon Wacka is no exception; the lyrics, entirely in Finnish, pay tribute to various aspects of Finnish heritage and culture, while remaining as epic as could be.

The instrumentation on Ukon Wacka is superb; using an eclectic mix of both modern and traditional instruments, Korpiklaani manage to create a sound all their own, while retaining a familiar folk vibe and ambience. The most beautifully orchestrated track, "Surma", really showcases how talented Korpiklaani really are, and shows that even the heaviest of bands can be soulful while still retaining their metal credibility.

Overall, Korpiklaani have created yet another masterpiece to add to their ever-growing catalogue of Folk-Metal epics, and I'm sure Ukon Wacka will become an instant classic in the minds of the fans. I rate this album 10 out of 10 stars, and hope to hear more work like this from Korpiklaani in the future.
