Newly signed to Season of Mist, Of Legends releases their debut album "Stranded", where it is definitely heading into a more modern extreme and metalcore scene. Where they give 100% is in the department of passion and intensity, where they fall short is giving us some diversity and variety. It is my number one pet peeve when I can't tell the difference between one track from another. These guys give it their all, but as I've said before I need something that's going make me pay attention instead of just skipping to the next track.

Opening up with "Nothing Matters", a nice fusion of guitars and drums, the vocals then come with a ferocity that is up at eleven; but it never changes. It's always right at eleven. "Death Eyes" comes in with a nice groove and some slamming drumwork, that's what is prominent on this album. The tight musicianship and structure, which I believe makes a strong foundation if you want to make it in this field. "Off Guard" carries the same amount of aggression as we've heard on the last two tracks with Debuc yelling "What the fuck" over and over again. That's what I'm saying, "What the fuck?!" "Save the Humans" has a huge Dillinger Escape Plan influence, simple chugging rhythm and heavy drum but still sounds very technical. They would work together perfectly if they went on tour together.

"False God" shows some insane drumming flowing nicely with the guitar and showing off the complexity of this band. This isn't bad for their first album. They carry a great amount of talent and show they have potential. Metalcore fans will no doubt appreciate this one. The vocals are the one area that I thought fell short but I guess you can't please everyone.
