This is what I know about Conny Ochs: 1) He toured with Scott "Wino" Weinrich. 2) He has a new album called "Raw Love Songs". 3) This album is amazing. All you are going to hear is this man's soulful voice and acoustic guitar but you honestly don't need any more than that. This album is raw and sentimental, and it will take you all over the realm of emotions. But once you start listening you will not be able to stop. The simplicity is what draws you in but it's the haunting melodies and passion that will make you stay.

"Stampede, Stampede" opens with dark harmonies and nothing else but the woefulness behind the lyric makes it mesmerizing as the same with "Lily of the Valley" which is very sweet and sorrowful at the same time. "Angels and Demons" holds more of a rockabilly punk influence and probably one of the most up tempo track on the album but still stays on the dark side. "Burn Burn Burn" is a melancholic track that is packed with anger and passion while "Waiting for the Monster" pulls at your emotions and making you feeling completely unsettled.

"Raw Love Songs" is an incredibly intriguing album that may have you question why that is; it's just a guy and his guitar right? Maybe it's because he's not afraid to put himself out there and deliver songs that are filled with soul. Don't question why it is; it just is. So just do yourself a favor and pick up a copy of this incredible album.
