Fetal Injury: Ain't No Party Like A Donner Party 2010
By Tyler Crooks
Release Date: December 21st, 2010 Record Label: Burger Punk My rating points:
On December 21, 2010, the often reclusive Fetal Injury released their first full length album entitled "Ain't No Party like a Donner Party 2010." In the same fashion as their previous endeavor, Fetal Injury is keeping their songs short, sweet, and to the point. Tracks like "Freebasing Coke is good for you", "All the Chicks in the Room Could Be Dudes"and"The Midwest is the Taint of America" keep the album fresh, offensive, and ultimately hilarious, while the tracks "Blitzgrind Bop" and "Bite it You Scum" revamp old punk rock standards in a disgusting, muddy, and sticky fashion. "Ain't No Party like a Donner Party 2010" also features the bands staple tracks featured on their original debut EP like "Ursine Menace", "Adenocarcinoma", and "Long Pork Sandwich." While the songs are the same, the quality is much different than their EP release, and sounds much better in terms of overall musicianship and production quality. Overall, Fetal Injury have really improved as a band since their last release, and "Ain't No Party like a Donner Party 2010" really shows off their improvement. For an album recorded with a budget of zero dollars, Fetal Injury did a pretty good job. I give it a 9/10 rating. For more info, check out the band's official myspace. Tweet | ||||||||||||||
